About the Event

Description

Join us for a conversation and book signing with Brooklyn native Richard Dryden, co-author of Awesome Black Creativity, an inspiring celebration of 27 influential Black creatives, activists, and athletes.

Combining original biographies with imaginative LEGO sculptures, Awesome Black Creativity celebrates the creativity, contributions, and lasting impact of Black figures across culture, activism, sports, and beyond. The book brings these influential individuals to life through a unique blend of storytelling, art, and LEGO building.

Richard will be joined by a conversation partner for a discussion about the book, the people and stories behind it, and the power of creativity to celebrate Black history and culture. The conversation will be followed by a book signing.

Come spend an evening celebrating Black creativity, cultural legacy, and the stories that deserve to be shared.
