About the Event
For the 10th year in a row, the Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl returns to celebrate the spirit of literacy and diversity in Brooklyn with a quest to visit as many bookstores as possible! Twenty-five independent bookstores and countless readers and book lovers will
participate in the week-long event, culminating with Independent Bookstore Day on April 27.
Brooklyn bookstores will join other independent bookstores nationwide in celebrating Independent Bookstore Day on April 27, with special exclusive merchandise, giveaways, activities and more at each store. During the entire week leading up to the big day, book lovers can participate in the Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl, Saturday, April 20 through Saturday, April 27. Anyone can pick up a Bookstore Crawl passport at participating bookstores and collect signatures or stamps by visiting participating bookstores throughout the week.
Customers who visit at least five participating stores with the passport will receive a 25% off coupon good on any single purchase at any participating store. From 5pm to 7pm on April 27, The Center for Fiction hosts a Bookstore Crawl Afterparty, with additional prizes in store for those who have racked up stamps or signatures on their passports.
