Join us for an evening with New York-based writer and playwright Doménica Feraud as she discusses her debut essay collection, You Are What You See: How My Favorite Shows Became My Worst Influences.
Through a blend of memoir and cultural criticism, Feraud examines how television shaped her understanding of love, beauty, ambition, and identity. Reflecting on iconic shows such as Gossip Girl and Grey's Anatomy, she explores the subtle ways pop culture influences women's lives while inviting readers to question, unlearn, and reclaim the stories they've inherited.
This conversation will explore feminism, media, identity, and the narratives that shape who we become.
About the Author
