Healing the Collective Wound explores the power of healing, justice, and collective transformation through critical reflection, community, and faith. Join us for an evening celebrating the launch of Dr. Joni Schwartz-Chaney's newest book in conversation with a special guest (to be announced).
Following the discussion, guests will have the opportunity to meet the author and purchase signed copies of the book.
About the Author
Joni Schwartz-Chaney is a Professor of Humanities at the City University of New York–LaGuardia Community College and teaches in the graduate program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. A critical researcher and social activist scholar, she is the author of Critical Faith: What It Is, What It Isn't, & Why It Matters (2024), Gifts from the Dark: Learning from the Incarceration Experience (2021), and Learning to Disclose: A Journey of Transracial Adoption (2020).
