About the host, Caitlin Elizabeth Harper and Renegade Reading Series...

I founded the Renegade Reading Series in 2011 to showcase emerging writers in New York City and I host a reading each month at Cafe con Libros, a feminist community bookstore in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. If you are interested in submitting your work for a future event, please email renegadereading [at] gmail [dot] com with a writing sample (it doesn’t have to be what you wish to read at the series, but it should be similar), a headshot/photo, and a short bio and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

All emerging poets, fiction writers, and essayists are welcome to submit and I especially encourage women, POC, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities to submit. My main aim is to bring new and diverse voices with immense talent to the stage.
