Coconut Paradise: A Family Heirloom and a Very Haitian Homecoming
Cassandra, a Haitian-American Influencer, moves to Cap-Haitien, Haiti, to operate her family's degrading hotel after the passing of her maternal grandmother, whom she never met in person. During the restoration of the hotel, Cassandra navigates cultural and language differences, local relationships, Vodou rumors surrounding the hotel, a mysterious man roaming around the hotel, and a stranger claiming ownership. Meanwhile, she embarks on a journey learning her family's history, who her grandmother was, and in turn, understanding her Haitian identity.
The Box
Estranged from her family, grappling with pressures at work, and trapped in the suffocating grip of depression as a result of childhood trauma, magazine executive Mia Hill tries to claw her way out of despair. But, her life unravels when she stumbles across a note hidden inside a painting gifted to her by her late mother.…
