The ECLS community is delighted to welcome our first visiting author of the year, Alyssa Reynoso- Morris on January 14, 2026!

Award-winning author, motivational speaker, and community organizer, Alyssa uses her work to uplift underrepresented voices. She is a queer Afro-Latine/x Dominican and Puerto Rican storyteller, mother, and activist who was raised in The Bronx, New York, and now lives in Philadelphia. Alyssa’s titles include; Platanos are Love, The Bronx is my Home, Gloriana Presente: A First Day of School Story and more recently released, Bold Brilliant and Latine. 

 

If you would like to get a signed copy of any of Alyssa’s books for your child, please pre-order your choice of book(s) through the local bookstore, Café con Libros, here.
