About the Event

HOW IT WORKS:

BlkBookSwap is an all attendees inclusive pop-up event, but we want the book pool (where you swap from and donate to) to stay intentionally Black, Indigenous, Latinx and POC authors primarily. So pick out a book from an author of color that you love from your library (up to 3) and bring them to Swap!

ABOUT CAFE CON LIBROS:

Cafe con Libros (coffee with books) is an intersectional Feminist community bookstore and coffee shop. Through their choice of books, programming and great coffee, they have create a vibrant community space where everyone; specifically womxn-identified folx, feel centered, affirmed and celebrated. In 2017, Kalima DeSuze opened Cafe Con Libros' cozy shop in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. She's very Black, very Afro-Latina and very feminist so the shop is a true embodiment of the values she carries with her and into the world.
