What is Feminist & Bookish?

Feminist & Bookish is our new monthly subscription for adults and children.

​

What does it mean to be "minimalist"?

​

At this time, our subscription only includes books. 

​

Why take the "minimalist" approach?

​

We are prioritizing affordability, sustainability and the environment.

​

What's included in the cost?

​

The cost of the book, taxes and shipping material.

​

When does my subscription begin?

​

Your subscription will begin the first of the following month.

​

Why am I not receiving a book at the time of subscribing?

​

Good question. To keep this both affordable and organized, we need to process all subscription at one time.

The service grows each day and tracking payments + orders is a hefty task.

​

When will books be shipped?

​

Books orders are placed on the 20th of the month.  They are packed out on the 25th. 

And, mailed between the 27th and the 1st of the following month.   

​

When should I expect to receive my book?

​

Unfortunately, due to massive restrictions on normal operations due to COVID19, we are not able to guarantee delivery.

​

If you selected pick-up, the book will be available by the 5th of the month.  If the book is back ordered, we will alert you of when to stop by.

​

How long do I have to pick up my book?

​

Given the size of Cafe con Libros, we are only able to hold the book for 2 weeks. 

After that time, the book will be returned to our distributor.  You can then request for the book to be mailed and or delivered.

​

What if I already have the book?

​

No problem. You can request to exchange with another available pick.  

​

Can I choose the substitute book?

​

Yes and No.

To keep the process manageable and fair, you will have a choice among the other subscription picks.

What is the cancellation policy?

​

You are free to cancel at anytime.

Who is this subscription good for?

Short answer: EVERYONE!

Can I gift this subscription?

Yes.

Who chooses the books?

​

The book club book is chosen two months in advance by the core members of the book club.

The children's books is chosen by yours truly and are informed by current social issues.

 

How will I know what book are chosen?

​

A week before shipment, the books will be announced via the e-newsletter.  It is also placed on the website.

​

Can I recommend a book?

​

Yes, you can send recommendations for children's books to info@cafeconlibrosbk.com.

Can I make changes to my subscription?

​

What types of books should I expect?

Intersectional Feminist books = books written by, for and about womxn and girls around the global.

 

Will be there be books for boys?

Yes. Feminist literature is gender-neutral.  It's relevant and integral to all.
