BISAR Shell is a software in British standard L1026-02 (BSI-6001:2009) which can calculate the mechanical responses of the pavement structure under different conditions of traction and sliding. Three layered pavement is modeled and the deterministic or stochastic analysis is run on the interfaces between the pavement layers. BISAR Shell is a special software that can perform the deterministic analysis of three-layered pavement structure. The software is based on the language BISAR which can be used to simulate the mechanical responses of the pavement structure. The software of BISAR Shell can be used to calculate the response of three-layered pavement structure under different loading conditions such as random or deterministic traction analysis, and sliding analysis. The study aims to emphasize the feasibility of the deterministic and stochastic analysis of three-layered pavement structure. The deterministic calculation is used to obtain the maximum vertical compression strains, the maximum flexural strains, and the maximum compressive and tensile strains on the top surface of subgrade. The stochastic analysis is used to obtain the distribution of the maximum vertical compression strains, the maximum flexural strains, and the maximum compressive and tensile strains on the top surface of subgrade. The deterministic and stochastic analysis results are compared with the 3rd party program, and the visual description of the results is also compared. The results of the deterministic and stochastic analysis can be directly shown in contour plot and 2D plot. The results of the comparison can be directly shown in the form of a table and a graph.
The results output of Bisar 3.0 shell software is in the form of text, and its visual description uses a third-party software, while the results output of EverStressFE program can be directly shown in contour plot and 2D plot based on Dpolt Jr or in the form of text. In order to facilitate the visualization comparison between the two programs, third-party programs are used for the visualization processing of text results output. Under the traffic load, the mechanical responses of pavement structure, such as the pavement surface deflection value, the flexural-tensile strain, and the maximum vertical compression strain on the top of subgrade compared, are analyzed on the conditions of fully bonding and fully slipping of the interface between the base-surface layers.
